Week 2:  Bone biology, physiology and pathology
Week 3:  Implant surfaces and osseointegration
Week 4:  Surgical asepsis, antimicrobial cover and peri-implantitis

Module 4:  Evidence Based Dental Implantology

Week 1:  Introduction to Evidence Based Healthcare 
Week 2:  Methodology and statistics
Week 3:  Trials of intervention and diagnostic tests
Week 4:  Qualitative studies
Week 5:  Systematic reviews, meta-analyses and guidelines

Module 5:  Practical Skills Week

- CBCT evaluation & prosthodontic analysis
- Digital implant planning using CBCT software (Blue Sky Plan)
- Surgical euipment setup and operative asepsis
- Placement of dental implants into models
- Flap raising and suturing on pig jaws
- Open & closed tray impressions
- Fitting the prosthesis

Module 6:  Treatment planning clinical cases (Beginners Pathway)*
5 April 2027 - 30 June 2027
Online - VLE

Weeks 1&2:  Simulated clinical case - taking a history, assessing risk & recording a diagnosis
Weeks 3-5:  Simulated clinical case - digital prosthodontic & surgical planning
Weeks 6-8:  Simulated clinical case - writing a treatment plan & formulating a consent document
Week 9&10:  Simulated clinical case - formulating a long term maintenance plan


*  Delegates on the Experienced Practitioner Pathway submit 6 Case Reports of their own past cases for Module 6
