Beginners Pathway delegates attend a 5 day Preclinical Practical Skills Week in Cambridge, covering the basic practical skills that are required for implant dentistry:

- CBCT analysis
- Digital implant planning
- Implant placement

- Implant impressions
- Raising flaps
- Prosthodontics and occlusion
- Gowning & gloving
- Suturing

Assessment is by Objective Structured Assessment of Technical Skills (OSATS).
