Module 6 is the Clinical Cases module. Delegates can attend a 5-day Clinical Training Program with provided patients*. If you are already an experienced implant dentist you may opt for the Experienced Practitioner (Treat Own Patients) Pathway for the Clinical Cases module**.
Provided Patients* option:
Under the Provided Patients option delegates will attend a Dentale clinic in either Bristol, Stafford, Carlisle or Shrewsbury for a 5 day Clinical Training Program with all patients provided for you. All patient costs are covered by the course fee - there are no further 'hidden charges'. Students will place at least 6 implants. See here for dates and availability.
Treat Own Patients option:
Experienced implant dentists may apply for the Treat Own Patients option. The delegate will submit case reports of 6 cases that the delegate has treated independently in the delegate's own practice or hospital. This option is open to UK and international dentists who have treated a minimum of 20 implant cases and have at least 2 years experience in implant dentistry. The case reports must be submitted before the last day of the course (30 June 2024). Delegates who are accepted onto this pathway will receive Approved Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) exemption from Module 2 (Preclinical Practical Skills Week).***
* The Provided Patients option is only available to UK dentists. International dentists must choose the Treat Own Patients Option.
